Учился в Лит.-худож. ин-те им. В.Я.Брюсова (1924) и на лит. ф-те 1-го МГУ (1928–31). Дебютировал в печати в 1922. В сер. 1920 – кон. 1930-х гг. чл. лит. гр. «Перевал». Печатался в журн. «Звезда», «Красная новь», «Молодая гвардия», «Новый мир», «Октябрь» и др. Автор поэтич. сб-ков «Каменья» (1923), «Ленинский наказ» (1925), «Ветер в лицо» (1931) и др.
